At NEGS we welcome girls from all over the world. NEGS offers students a uniquely Australian experience and the chance to develop their English in a secure, friendly environment. A wide range of interesting co-curricular activities complement the academic curriculum and offer the girls the opportunity to integrate with their Australian friends, develop existing skills and try new things. NEGS has much to offer international students as a safe, country boarding school with the advantages of a city.

Set on over 49.5 hectares of landscaped gardens, parkland and open spaces, NEGS provides an idyllic rural environment for learning and growing, yet still offers the advantages of a city. Many of the buildings at NEGS are heritage listed and as such add to the school's reputation as a fine, educational institution.

All students have access to the music and sporting facilities where they are encouraged to join an ensemble or team. Accelerated learning opportunities are also available within the school or at the nearby University of New England. Students for whom English is not their first language receive one-on-one tutoring to improve fluency and they practise conversational English daily when they interact with staff and students.

The many facilities on the NEGS grounds include four modern boarding houses with recreational and study areas; an accommodation building for GAP Students and Duty Staff; a dedicated school chapel; a multi-purpose centre; tennis courts; a swimming pool and an equestrian centre.

Moving to a different country can be exciting and hard at the same time.
