What a wonderful day we had at the Armidale Eisteddfod with every student from St John’s performing in their class item, a great effort from everyone. The students should feel very proud of themselves for their fabulous performances which entertained everyone at the Eisteddfod. It was lovely to see all the parents and friends who came to support, thank you everyone. The students loved having you in the audience.

The students are now gearing up for their next big performance at NEGS Night Of Music. All students from Years 3-6 will be performing on Wednesday evening June 21st beginning at 6.00pm and finishing at approximately 8.00pm. This will be a wonderful night of entertainment featuring our lovely choirs and vocal ensembles, the fabulous Handbell Players, class groups from St John’s 3-6 and the Senior School as well as individual performances showcasing the many musical talents of the students from across the whole school. Our first act of the night features our wonderful Equestrian riders performing to music outside the Assembly Hall, truly a night not to be missed.

Thank you to all the students who auditioned for parts in Snow White. Mr Oxley and I had a lovely afternoon with the students as they auditioned for the various parts. Students have been given their parts to take home and learn. We will have our first practise on Thursday afternoon in the music block, it is going to be a lot of fun.

Yours in music
