Robert Newsome

A New England local, growing up on a mixed grazing property near Glen Innes and now living on a property near Bolivia Tenterfield, Rob has always been a horseman. From coming up through the pony club ranks, to playing A-Grade Polo Cross to now being an avid campdrafter. Rob has won and placed in numerous drafts and is an open Judge with the ACA.

Rob has broken-in and trained hundreds of horses, many of which have gone on to win in their chosen fields. Rob has always been extensively involved in Pony Club, being Chief Instructor at Emmaville Pony Club during the years his three children attended.

Rob is also an accomplished stockman. He has not only managed his own sheep and cattle properties, but has worked managing large central QLD properties. He is also a qualified instructor and worked at Longreach Pastoral College, not only in a teaching role, but also as the Livestock Manager.

Rob has been a member of the NEGS team since mid-2015, and is really enjoying passing on his knowledge to the next generation.
