Olympic Equestrian, trainer, competitor, father, NBC Commentator and marketing consultant for several equine companies, Imtiaz Anees knows a thing or two about the Equine world.
Born in India, studied in Australia and previously based in the United States, Imtiaz has had the opportunity to work with Three Day Event, Dressage, Show Jumping and Race horses. Having travelled nearly half the globe, Imtiaz has been very fortunate to have worked and trained with some of the best riders in Australia, England, France, New Zealand, Switzerland and the United States.
In 2015 we welcomed Rachelle who, prior to commencing with NEGS, worked in varying professional performance stables and warmblood studs. Mentored by Tarsha Hammond and Andrew Barnett the committed coach is extremely focused and driven to train and compete in dressage and eventing at an elite level. In 2014 Rachelle had the opportunity to ride in Germany at a showjumping and dressage stable.
Rachelle has her NCAS Equestrian Australia Level 2 Certificate in Riding and Horse Management.
Sarah is an enthusiastic eventer and show jumper competing up to 1* and 1.25m in showjumping, and has been with the Equestrian Centre since the beginning of 2018.
A NEGS Old Girl, Sarah spent her gap year riding in an eventing stable in Germany to continue progressing in eventing and show jumping.
Sarah is one of two resident EA Junior Coaches and enjoys coaching our younger students and others looking to develop their skills.
Roy moved from Malaysia to Australia in 2016 to pursue his dream of riding and coaching. Roy has become part of the Equestrian Centre family and always wears a smile. He always offers a helping hand to the girls, has an infectious smile and is often caught singing at the top of his lungs on the morning hay run.
Roy enjoys all aspects of horse care and has interest in property management and agriculture. He rides many different horses but can usually be found with his best mate, Buster.
A New England local, growing up on a mixed grazing property near Glen Innes and now living on a property near Bolivia Tenterfield, Rob has always been a horseman. From coming up through the pony club ranks, to playing A-Grade Polo Cross to now being an avid campdrafter. Rob has won and placed in numerous drafts and is an open Judge with the ACA.
Desley commenced at the Equestrian Centre in March 2018. Desley has over 12 years’ experience in frontline customer service and administration, including three years providing high level administrative support to executive staff. Having five daughters herself, Desley also has a great deal of experience with girls!
NEGS Equestrian was extremely excited to welcome Codie Law as our new Campdraft Squad coach for 2018. Codie has a wealth of experience with all aspects of Campdrafting. He is an accomplished competitor, renowned judge, has been on the board of both the ABCRA and ACA, and is the current President of the NCCA.
NEGS continues its polocrosse trajectory by employing one of the best names in the business, with Ella Elks holding the head coach mantle for polocrosse since the beginning of 2018. The passionate polocrosse player was born and bred in Warwick, Queensland and comes from a legendary playing pedigree. Her father, Allan Waugh has represented Australia and her sister Ryle is in the current Australian Team. Ella herself has represented Queensland on numerous occasions at a national level and is keen to develop the skills of all the young players under her tutelage. The Waugh family often hold coaching clinics for the polocrosse community, with Ella picking up fantastic training techniques and knowledge on how to bring the best out in her players.
