Dear Parents, Students and Friends of the Junior School,
On Friday, 16 March 2018, Australian schools stood united in their communities to celebrate the 8th National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence. This initiative encourages all Australian students to stand united against bullying and violence in the classroom and beyond. At NEGS Junior School we promote and support explicitly a policy of zero tolerance of bullying of any kind. By providing a space free of bullying our students develop confidence and resilience because they experience an educational journey filled with amazing challenges, guidance of outstanding educators, where they discover their personal strengths in an individually supportive environment. However, they are reminded that both inside and outside of our School to always be sensitive to the needs of others and to offer assistance to those less fortunate in the wider world.
I would like to congratulate Lily Lorimer for her swimming at our recent carnivals. Her 200IM time was accepted by IPSHA and she has now progressed to CIS. As this event is not swum until the NSW PSSA carnival it is now a waiting game to see if her time can get her through. Good luck Lily.
I would also like to welcome our new Year 2 student Harriett Lisle and her parents Kate (NEGS old girl) and Sam to NEGS Junior school.
Next week we will be holding our Easter Hat parade. Parents are welcome to come into the classrooms (T-2) at 9:45 to help make hats with their child. The P & F have organised a morning tea for all parents then our parade will start at 11:10. If you can not make it we have some senior school helpers coming down to lend a hand.
Parents should have received an email from Mrs Helen Doyle with bookings for Parent Teacher interviews. If you haven’t received it yet please check your spam. If still can’t find please email email@example.com with your details.
